21 MAR 08 - E615-PP Work, Prekoted and Primed - 5 Hours
Prior to priming all of the stiffeners and skin,
I wanted to get E615-PP ready for primer as well. The plans have very little information
about how to prepare the screw-holes and nutplates. After searching on the internet,
I discovered a way that I liked:
I dimpled the screw holes to #6 and I will dimple the trim access cover plate screw
holes to #6 as well.
I got some NAS1097AD3-3.5 rivets
here. They will ship via USPS, which saved some money on such a small order.
These NAS1097AD3-3.5 are not "oops" rivets. "Oops" rivets, or NAS1097AD4-3.5, are
used where the hole has become enlarged and must be drilled out to #30.
The NAS1097AD3-3.5 are flush rivets just like AN426-3-3.5, but with a smaller head.
This allows you to countersink the trim access reinforcement slightly and still
set flush rivets.

I Prekoted all of the stiffeners, E-615-PP and the skins and then primed everything.
